I have a Goodman forced air furnace.my flame keeps going out.?
i can press the reset button and some times it will run for one cycle sometimes two weeks. It appears that the flame " rolls out" too much when it starts. The only happens when it is below 30 degrees outside.
How do i FIND the pilot for my westinghouse forced air furnace?
its an older model
Why does my central air furnace do this?
WHen i turn it on, or if i turn up the thermostat, the blower will turn on, then off, after short periods, over and over..cycling for maybe 30 seconds On, 2 minutes off. Finally, it will run normally, where the blower will run for as long as it takes to keep the temperature at the right level. It's always on off on off for a half hour, hten finally , it runs " normally" I rent , so i guess i could call the landlord, but in the big scheme fo things, it's not that bad so farI always turn the t stat really really low, or even off while i am at work, so that's why i have to start over each night with this thing.
How much is a new blower for my forced air furnace?
To do list for shutting down a hot air furnace for the winter?
Can anyone explain the dangers if any of insulating a gas forced air furnace with standard R13 fiberglass?
I'm considering R13 faced insulation as a better and cheaper alternative to the foil backed stuff. I have the ducts insulated from the basement using the fiberglass. But I'm concerned as I get closer to the furnace, the temperature may get too high. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
Can I use a small air compressor to draw methane and then route it to my current gas forced air furnace?
Draw methane from my septic tank using a small air compressor which will store the methane and feed it to my current propane lines for water heater and F A furnace . Not sure of mixture I would draw and how much storage I would need to supply my needs
How to block cold air from infiltrating fresh air intake in direct vent, sealed combustion forced air furnace?
We have a Coleman model number 7665 856, direct vent sealed combustion system equipped with free standing pilot forced air furnace in a mobile home. We're having problems with cold air blowing up from all the floor registers when the heater is not running. Through our troubleshooting efforts we determined the cold air is entering through the outside air intake around the flue gas out " chimney" and traveling through the duct work. To test this, we wrapped a blanket around the exhaust intake cap termination cap? on the roof momentarily while someone inside monitored the cold air flow from a random register. It stopped the cold air flow. How can we prevent this cold air from infiltrating the system yet maintain fresh air intake clearance for proper operation? Thanks for your time.
Is ductwork for oil forced air furnace the right size for heat pump conversion?
How would I figure out how much power my electric forced air furnace uses?
Trying to figure out if it might be cheaper to use an oil filled radiator to take the chill off when it isn't really cold outside, or let the furnace do its thing. I really only need about half of my small house to be warmish.
Necessity of cold air return for forced air furnace when it draws fresh air from outside in a two story 2100sq?
tore old ceiling down in basement and had to remove old cold air return which only 1 2 went to the furnace do we have to rebulid the cold air return or is the draw from outside enough for the furnace to properly run?
Is it better to fix problem on a 12 yr old, propane, hot air furnace or replace it?
It seems to me replacing a part that goes wrong doesn't warrant replacement of the furnace. Why should I spend $5000 to by a new furnace when a $300 control board will fix the problem? But the repair man says I should buy a new furnace. Something doesn't seem right.
