Corn furnace heaters?
does anyone have one? what do you think? do you live in town or in the country?
Our pilot light goes out on our gas furnace(heater) help it is cold!?
Let me first off state that i got screwed when i bought this house I bought an older manufactured home. i think a 1972. It still has the original furnace. When we bought it the previous owner said that the pilot was " hard to light" .home inspector never light the heater, his reasoning was because it was 110 out side when it was inspected. As a first time home buyer who was represented by a double agent, i had no clue. We have no problem lighting the pilot we have a problem with the flame staying on. We have replaced the thermal coupling, and cleaned the pilot " vent" line, There was a ton of rust in it. We also replaced the thermostat. It seemed to be working much better. IT came on when it was supposed to and shut off when it was supposed to. At about 4 am we were cold went to check and furnace should of been on, but the pilot light was out. i know i need to call some one but money is very very tight. Hubby broke his legs in Sept. and he is still out of work. So if possible what are some of the less expensive options i have. Please and thank youYes, it is in it's own " closet" . the doors are closed. Pilot is on now, and kicking on when it should. but out of no where it completely goes out. While thermostat digital says it should still be running.
Lennox furnace/heater & ignition sparker?
We have a Lennox C23 46FC 1... the ignition sparker cycles through and the unit kicks on for about 2 3 minutes, then shuts off. I am, by no means, familiar with heating units and am not sure what could be causing this. I don't know if it's supposed to cycle again and ignite or how this whole thing works. Any information about the standard process when the furnace first ignites? If it won't stay on, what could be the issue and how costly is it to repair?See, I told you that I know nothing about these things. I should add that this is a gas furnace sorry about the wrong model I have no clue what I'm doing . We've only been in this house for 6 days... what a way to start out Thanksgiving
Help with my gas furnace heater!? (this will also solve an argument between my and my husband)?

It came in our 1997 redman mobile home so its not exremely old. My husband turns off the pilot light everyday and Im trying to tell him hes not saving by doing that. Please help
Question about an old gas furnace/heater thing.?
Ok. I live in a house that I think is from like the 20's. It's VERY old. I have a floor furnace heater thing. It looks kind of like a water heater that you can buy from the store, but its in the floor. we've been freezing our arses off for a while now thinking the pilot light wasn't on lol. Well today i lifted the grate off and felt the heater and it was warm, so I turned up the heater and it came on fine. We kind of smell a gas burning dirt smell. I'm just curious if maybe this is just from turning it on for the first time and it's just burning off all the old dust and everything that is on it. I don't know when the last time it was turned on, but probably last winter. Any help will be appreciated.
How well do gas furnace heater's work?
I'm buying my first home and it has two gas furnace heaters. Square footage is about 1100. Are they very efficient? Is gas more expensive than electric? Any suggestions for what to replace the furnaces with that's not to expensive but works good?
